Christina Z. Griggs
Christina has spent her entire life in and around the business world. Her family owns and operates the oldest family-owned business in Canada. The family shoe business has gone through many changes, challenges and triumphs, with the development of discount stores and a rapidly changing business environment. Exposure, at such an early age, to the business challenges her family faced, led Christina to enjoy helping others navigate through dynamic business conditions.
During her professional career, Christina has worked as a short-interest trader in London and as an investment advisor with Dean Witter (now JP Morgan). As Chief Financial Officer for a corporate housing firm, Christina found her passion for developing clear, reliable processes and financial reporting that gives businesses the opportunity to thrive. After developing a systematic reporting process that tracked the company’s complex financial and operating procedures, Christina helped this company grow from a $250,000 business to an $8 million business.
Christina founded Gemsbok Consulting after using these skills to help a struggling business reorganize their financial reporting and identify where they were losing money. Thanks to Christina’s intense curiosity and commitment to helping her clients succeed, this company still operates today. Almost 15 years later, Christina has worked with hundreds of companies to help them develop and maintain efficient financial and operating structures.
When Christina is not working she enjoys playing ice hockey, being outside, spending time with her family, playing games and traveling.

Heather is a business consultant that specializes in financial analysis. With a background in economics and accounting, she is passionate about organizing financial information, supporting financial reporting, and creating solutions that increase profitability.
Heather started her career working for a non-profit organization providing a number of functions from office administration to event coordination and fundraising. Heather then transferred to Australia where she specialized in documentary film production, specifically highlighting people groups and non-profit startups in the Middle East, India and Asia. This allowed Heather to see a variety of grassroots, non-profit organizations and how they operate in various parts of the world. Helping produce these films granted Heather a clear understanding of how entrepreneurs develop and implement creative business models that continue to benefit a variety of disadvantaged groups of people.
Following her time abroad, Heather went back to school to earn a BA in Economics. While attending school, she worked for a construction company managing their financial operations. After graduation, Heather moved into an accounting position for a larger company. Through these experiences, Heather realized how much she enjoyed helping companies evaluate performance and grow profitability.
At Gemsbok, Heather helps prepare and maintain her client’s financial operations for reporting and analysis. She strives to help her clients improve their business operations by supporting their bookkeeping needs and implementing procedures to improve and streamline financial reporting.
When Heather is not assisting her clients, she and her husband operate a hobby farm focused on sustainable living. Heather loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking and spending time with her two dogs.
Heather has worked with Gemsbok Consulting, Inc. since March 2016.
