Christina Z. Griggs

CEO

Christina is Canadian-born and grew up in the beautiful lake city scenery of Toronto, Canada. She has spent her entire life in and around the business world. Her family owned and operated the oldest family-owned business in Canada until recently. The family shoe business went through many changes, challenges, and triumphs, with the development of discount stores and a rapidly changing business environment. Exposure at such an early age to the business challenges her family faced led Christina to Principia College to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration so she could work with CEOs and business owners to see their vision come to life and navigate through dynamic business conditions.

During her professional career, Christina has worked in many verticals, including environmental and business consulting, property management, investment banking, corporate housing, real estate brokering, commercial and residential construction, electrical engineering, personal investment planning, IT Services, association management, government, publishing, and web development.  For these companies, she created stronger operations, built solid financial structures, and improved customer relations.

Christina founded Gemsbok Consulting in 2001 to assist companies in building a solid foundation from which to grow and stay resilient in ever-changing markets. Over 20 years later, Christina has worked with hundreds of companies to help them develop and maintain efficient financial and operating structures. She is a spreadsheet and modeling wizard and loves to create tools for business leaders to really understand the impacts of various decisions – not only in the short term but the long term.

When Christina is not processing numerical data, she enjoys spending time with her husband Jay, daughter Sarah, and son Jack. Her children keep her busy attending Taekwondo, swimming competitions, and ice hockey games. Christina always makes time to play ice hockey, take Crossfit classes, and spend time outdoors hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, climbing, and camping.

Favorite music and travel destinations: Christina’s ears listen to whatever music is playing, and when it comes to traveling Maui is a huge favorite but nothing beats returning to Europe where she started her career (London, England). Scuba diving excursions are always a must on family vacations.

Robin Grzegorzeski

Controller and Team Lead

She is energized by digging into data and then reviewing and reorganizing items into their correct places. “I enjoy the feeling of finding the root of a problem and understanding how it got to be that way. If there is a simple solution to a complex problem, then that’s even better!”

For more than a decade, Robin has served in various industries as an accountant, so she’s seen a lot of different financials and different company setups. Her technical accounting knowledge and her eye for financial reporting and general ledger review make her ideal to support Gemsbok’s wide range of clients.

In her spare time, she and her husband cheer on their favorite college and professional football teams. Their 2 young kids keep them on their toes and are now big enough to join them on short hikes through the gorgeous trails in Parker, Colorado.

Erin Dokken

Accountant

Erin graduated from the Colorado School of Mines with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a minor in Economics. Her attention to detail, commitment to integrity, and love of learning have been the foundation of her career. She has experience in both consulting and education, where she has enjoyed partnering with clients and students to help them achieve their goals.

Before joining Gemsbok Consulting in 2026, Erin spent 10 years as a civil engineer. She then dedicated herself to homeschooling her two sons, tutoring students, and serving as a lead learner within her local classical homeschool community. These experiences strengthened her organizational skills, adaptability, and passion for helping others succeed.

At Gemsbok Consulting, Erin enjoys bringing analytical thinking and a collaborative approach to every client engagement, helping organizations navigate their financial needs and solve complex challenges.

Outside of work, Erin enjoys reading, soaking up Colorado’s sunshine, and spending time with her family. Together they love exploring the country’s National Parks, four-wheeling in the Colorado mountains, attending hockey games, and relaxing at home. Erin lives in Littleton, Colorado, with her husband, two teenage sons, and two cats.

Favorite music and travel destinations: Erin usually lets her husband and sons choose the playlist, but when it’s her turn, you’ll hear worship music or ’80s classics. She loves exploring the United States and recently had the opportunity to visit Italy, a trip that inspired her to return one day with her family and explore even more of Europe.

Katie Stone

Accountant

Katie has spent her whole career ensuring that her clients have the best experience possible. From working with high net-worth individuals in wealth management client services and operations to helping young families find their first home, Katie has always been dedicated to understanding individual needs and delivering the right outcomes.

“I genuinely love making our clients’ lives a little easier. When their financials are done correctly, we can make reliable financial projections and give expert advice, positioning them to make solid financial decisions. This also frees them up to focus on building their business.”

Born and raised in Indiana, Katie moved to Denver in 2008. After almost a decade in financial management and real estate in the Denver Metro area, Katie and her husband moved to Evergreen with their son. They love our town’s community feel and year-round laid-back outdoor lifestyle.

She’s passionate about skiing, hiking, traveling, art, and historic architecture, but her greatest love is simply hanging with her family. When she’s not working, she often volunteers at Rocky Mountain Academy of Evergreen or builds props and costumes with her son for local theater companies.

Katie naturally connects with those around her, and her mission as an accountant is to provide clients with an effortless and enjoyable experience.

Amber K. May

Accountant

With more than a decade of experience across forensic accounting, bookkeeping, taxes, payroll, and advisory roles, Amber specializes in supporting business owners so they can focus on what they do best while she brings clarity to the numbers behind the scenes.

Her professional background includes five years in forensic accounting and three years in bookkeeping, tax, and payroll services, along with additional experience spanning retail, apartment appraising, recruiting, and administrative support. Amber is a former Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in both Colorado and Georgia and a former Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), giving her a sharp eye for risk, controls, and sound financial decision-making.

Nikki Schleen

Accountant

Nikki is excited to join the Gemsbok team and work alongside colleagues who genuinely enjoy helping one another create the best environment for both personal and professional growth.

Nikki brings outstanding organizational and communication skills to Gemsbok. After spending more than 20 years raising her three children, she has become an expert at managing schedules, budgets, unexpected challenges, and all the moving pieces that come with a busy life. She genuinely enjoys helping people and takes pride in being a supportive team member who can be counted on.

One of Nikki’s most formative experiences came from working in the restaurant industry. “The fast-paced, high-pressure environment taught me how to stay calm under stress, think on my feet, and navigate both my own emotions and those of others around me.” The lessons she learned continue to shape the way she approaches her work today.

When she’s not working, Nikki loves traveling, practicing yoga, golfing, playing mahjong with friends, hiking, attending concerts and sporting events, and relaxing with a good book by the pool. She and her family are passionate sports fans, especially hockey (Go Avs!) and football (Go Broncos!). As a busy mom, she also treasures the one-on-one conversations she shares with her kids while driving them to their many activities.

Nikki has been married to her husband, DJ, for more than 20 years. Together they have three children: Mena, an artist who is heading to university in Canada to study neurosciences; Dax, a varsity hockey goalie and high school sophomore; and Peri, a creative and competitive dancer. Their family also includes two cats, Kashi and Squid, and a new mini dachshund puppy, Twiggy!

Carol Hull

Accountant

Carol’s professional journey has been anything but ordinary. From serving as a tour guide at the Colorado State Capitol to managing corporate clients and executive education programs at the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver, each role taught her valuable lessons about organization, communication, and serving others. She later spent more than 16 years homeschooling her three daughters while leading homeschool communities, coordinating tutors, managing budgets, and supporting families. These experiences strengthened her leadership, adaptability, and ability to navigate the many moving parts that come with serving diverse groups of people.

Today, Carol brings that unique combination of business experience and real-world problem-solving to Gemsbok, where she enjoys working alongside a team that values kindness, collaboration, and helping others.

One lesson has stayed with her throughout every chapter of her career: people matter. Whether working with clients, colleagues, or families, she believes in treating everyone with the same respect and professionalism while approaching challenges with thoughtful preparation and clear communication.

Outside of work, Carol enjoys knitting and crocheting, playing the piano, watching classic films, cheering on college football, and taking road trips whenever possible. As she puts it, you miss too much of the journey if you fly.

Carol and her husband, Phil, have been married for 25 years and have three daughters: Elaine, an art student at Metropolitan State University of Denver; Natalie, who is studying psychology at the University of Sioux Falls; and Katherine, who is currently in high school. Their home is also shared with two rescued dogs, Gus and Scout, and a guinea pig named S’mores.

Carol’s thoughtful approach, wealth of life experience, and genuine desire to serve others make her a valued member of the Gemsbok team and a trusted resource for the clients she supports.
